Northampton College's All-Girls Team Reaches F1 Mini-Car Final: A Triumph for STEM Education
A group of female engineering students from Northampton College have achieved a remarkable feat, becoming the first from their institution to reach the final of a prestigious national racing contest. The team, consisting of Kierra Rowe, Abigail Susan Arun, Adeline Muyengwa, Geovana De Menezes, and Grace Ward, has made history by winning the regional round of the Stem Racing UK competition.
This exciting challenge, supported by Formula 1, invites students aged nine to 19 to engage in a comprehensive learning experience. The contest requires them to design, build, test, and race miniature Formula 1 cars while simultaneously acquiring essential skills in engineering, marketing, and project management.
